CORMIER, DELPHINE
Delphine Cormier, 98, of Winnipeg St. Moncton passed away on Friday February 13, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born March 19, 1916 in Sainte-Marie, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Alvina (Bourque) Allain.
Prior to her retirement she was a cook for Radio Canada in Moncton. At home she enjoyed gardening and her excellent culinary and chess playing skills were enjoyed and shared with family and friends. She had a contagious smile.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Murielle LeBlanc (late Robert) of Montreal, Diane Bourgeois (Frank), Jeannette Cormier of Moncton; one sister: Rita Bourque (late Alonzo) of Moncton; seven grandchildren: Daniel, Serge, André, Denis, David, Marc, Monique; 12 great-grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ovila (2004); her sisters and brothers: Zélima, Marie, Médric, Joseph, Zoel, Antoine, Néri, Aurèle, Albert and Albert.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday February 17, 2015 at 4pm. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in Notre-Dame cemetery.
In memory of Delphine, a contribution may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
