Michael McCarthy of Conception Bay South, passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at the age of 76. Predeceased by infant daughter Marie, father Michael, mother Kathleen, and brother Pat (Doris). Left to mourn with fond memories, his loving, devoted wife, and soul mate of 52 years, Joyce McCarthy (nee Brown); children Brenda (Hugh Pink) and Michael (Rynette); granddaughters Nicole (Spencer Boudreau) and Stephanie (Kyle); great-grandchildren Gabriel and Isabelle; sisters Catherine (Fred Baxstrome) and Barbara (Richard Follett); brothers Tommy (Donna) and Sandy (Judy); and many other family and friends. We would like to send out special thanks to long time family physician, Doctor Allison Hillman, staff at the ICU, and the nursing staff of 4 North B for their care and compassion, especially Missy and Courtney. We would also like to send a thank you to special niece Barbara Squires for all of her ongoing support through this difficult time. We appreciate all of the kindness that has been shown from everyone these last few weeks. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Tuesday from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. Cremation to follow.
