It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gussie Ruth announce her passing on Sunday, February 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Laverne Byrne, Irishtown, Myra Greening (Calvin), Musgravetown, Doreen Payne (Frank) and Beulah Lewis (Stan) all of Summerside; step-daughters: Ona and Annie Wheeler, both of Summerside; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; special nephew Dave Wells (Margaret), Summerside; sisters-in-law Elsie and Violet Wheeler, Summerside; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands Norman White and Augustus Ruth, sons Cyril, Calvin and Lloyd, son-in-law Leo Byrne, sisters Regina Kendell and Dorothy Wells, brothers Murdoch, Frank, Albert, Percy, Max and Horace Wheeler. Friends may visit St. Paul's Anglican Church in Summerside on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
