Passed on: February 14th, 2015

Our hearts are broken over the passing of our amazing wife, mother, nanna, sister and friend, Marie Louise (Taylor) Gale-MacInnis, on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Marie the youngest of seven children, was born in Florence on June 4, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Lena (Devoe) Taylor.
Marie was an active member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, the North Sydney Senior Citizens & Pensioners Club, the Pensioners Bowling League and proud long time member of the Georges River mixed dart league.
She was predeceased by her first husband Lawrence 'Larry' Gale, father of her three children, her sister Georgina MacCormick and tragically hours before Marie’s death her sister Theresa (Dunlop) McEachern passed away.
Marie is survived by her husband Roderick 'Roddie' MacInnis; three children, Rosina (Shawn) Thompson, Oakville, Cathy (Allan) Campbell, Georges River and her only son Paul (Shannon) Gale, Red Deer; her five grandchildren, the lights of her life — Frankie, Alexandra, Connor, Kaitlyn and Lawrence; her brothers, John (Bev) Taylor, Brantford, Harold (Bernice) Taylor, Florence, Cyril (Michele) Taylor, Hamilton and her sister Loretta MacKenzie, Baddeck, and also a number of nieces and nephews and godchildren. She will be deeply missed by her lifelong best friend Mary 'Sissy' Fraser.
Marie is also survived by her stepchildren, Rod MacInnis, Halifax, Elaine Musgrave, North Sydney, Allan MacInnis, Halifax, Michael (Denise) MacInnis, Sydney and Stephen MacInnis, Ontario.
Marie loved spending time at home with her husband Roddie, her family, extended family and many friends. Marie loved any time spent with the people she loved. She was a loyal and true friend who always had a shoulder to cry on or a hand to lend. She always saw the good in people and could always make it shine in others. She made people want to be better just by being herself.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass for Marie will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Canadian Marfan Syndrome Association or a charity of choice.
