The death occurred at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, on Sunday, February 15, 2015, of William Wright MacEachern, of Charlottetown and formerly of Mermaid, PEI, age 85 years. He was the devoted husband of Betty (Thompson) for 62 years. Born in Charlottetown, Bill was the son of William L. and Janet Elizabeth (Wright) MacEachern, both predeceased, of Mermaid. He leaves to mourn his wife Betty, his daughters Zoe Anne (André) and family, Glace Bay, NS; Zandra Wilson (Ivan), Saskatoon, SK; his son Richard, Charlottetown; his brother Donald (Alma, deceased), Burlington, ON, and his sister Elizabeth Andrew (Alvin, deceased), Charlottetown, and their families. He also leaves to mourn four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at the time of interment later in Calvin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mermaid. Arrangements have been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home.
