Malcom Ross Pynn

Pynn, Malcolm Ross – 86, Staples Brook Road, Belmont, N.S. passed away February 15, 2015 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Londonderry he was the son of the late William and Pearl (King) Pynn of Newfoundland. He began working with McCully and Soy at the age of fourteen and continued for 42 years as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed working in his shop, planting his garden and cutting his winter’s wood. He always had an animal or two which he loved to care for. Ross was always willing to help those in need. He also enjoyed taking special trips with his buddies, Reg, Cliff and Jerry. He is survived by his soulmate of 28 years, Marie Miller; daughters, Kay Rose, (Maggie Bondy), Bible Hill, Mary Gerdson, (Thomas Quigley), Great Village, Louise (George) Leil, Bible Hill, Pearl (Arthur) Oakley, Dartmouth, Holly (Terry) Bown, Belmont; stepdaughter, Charlene (Brandon) Hayman, Tatamagouche; sister, Henrietta “Hett” Morrisey, Debert; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Ronald in infancy; sisters, Aletha “Lett” Rushton, Erma Morrisey; brother, Murray and special granddaughter, Courtney Brown. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Donations in Ross’ memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
