Reta Blanche Silliphant
Reta Blanche Silliphant (nee Ramsay) passed away peacefully at Andrews of Summerside, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Reta celebrated her 100th birthday this past summer.
Her family and friends treasured the light of her loving smile and will miss her dearly.
Reta was the beloved wife of the late Albert Silliphant and loving mother to Donna (George) Court of Belleville, Ontario; Elizabeth "Bette" (Donald) Sheen of Stanley Bridge; and Charles (Cheryl Picard) Silliphant of Stanley Bridge. She was the much-loved Grammie of Leigh (Kim), Brian (Catherine) and Chris (Kim) Court; Kim (Jamie) Foote, Kent (Sonya) Sheen, Spencer (Ann-Marie) Sheen, Rachel (Josh) Silver; Robbie (Jolene) and Doug (Martha) Picard; and also of her cherished great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Clifford Ramsay; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Elizabeth Ramsay; and her nieces and nephews.
Reta was born in Hamilton, P.E.I., and was the daughter of the late Winfred and Pearl Ramsay. She was predeceased by siblings: Leslie Ramsay, Norman Ramsay, Ella Cooke, Nina Demoy, Mildred Dailey, Anna Jamieson, David Ramsay, Harold Ramsay, Enzly Ramsay and Alfred Ramsay.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a private family service will be held. Interment later in People's Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request.
