Linda Erhardt

Linda Erhardt

Born Rosalinda Bernasconi on December 19th, 1950 in Regina, Linda (Linney) became Linda Erhardt on January 30th, 1971 when she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Erhardt, which began their 44 year journey together as loving and devoted husband and wife.

Linda and Donnie settled in Prince Albert, where their family grew, raising together their three children; Tamara Erhardt (Wayne Avram), Kawn Erhardt (Lisa) and Shay Meeks (Devin). What started as a couple, over the years grew to 18, including ten amazing grandchildren; Merrick and Kelton Moran, Josh and Nathan Hanson, Taren, Vienne and Kaynen Erhardt, Relan, Keara and Kade Meeks. She cherished the opportunities to watch them grow and express their own creative talents.

Linda’s vibrant and passionate nature was evident every day and in the most usual of daily tasks. Whether participating or attending an art show, or finding treasures during a shopping trip, she never left the house without celebrating her eclectic style and beauty through lipstick and a fashionable hat and jacket.

Linda was a celebrated artist and creator, her talents extending from jeweller, potter, sculptor, painter, weaver, seamstress, soup maker, cook and gardener and whose generous nature relished the opportunity to be able to share her experience and expertise to countless numbers of students and peers and had a thirst for her own life's growth and learning. She recognized the value in all things and found meaningful ways to expose their unique beauty.

She delighted in the simple things, from the company of a cat, to a tender song, to a blooming flower,
every day was special to her and she made every day special.

She was a dear friend, a loving wife, a caring mother and a grateful grandmother who leant her ear to anyone that needed one and always with the intention of reminding them of their worth. Her compassionate understanding of the challenges of life has left behind strength in her passing.

Predeceased by her Father, Ampellio Bernasconi and her Mother, Ida Bernasconi (Romund), her Brother Anthony (Tony) Bernasconi and Brothers‐in‐Law, Bill Pearce, John Misakewicz and Winkland Howland, Linda is also survived by her siblings; Irene Pearce, John Bernasconi (Lois), Delphine Misakewicz, celeste Howland, her Mother‐in‐Law, Edith Erhardt, best friend and Sister‐in-Law, Dianne Gilbert (Alex), Sister‐
in‐law, Patricia Erhardt (Rick Kotowich), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and students.

At Linda’s request, there will be a private family service followed by a celebration of life extended to all friends and family and those who cherished her. The celebration will include the showing of some of her art and a potluck (also at her request), so please bring your favourite dish to the Prince Albert Arts Centre at 1010 Central Avenue, Prince Albert on May 2nd, 2015 at 5:00 pm. The family would like to thank all of those who shared a kind word and prayer.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services and Crematory.
