DEICHMANN, KJELD HENRIK LUND
The family of Forester and Naturalist, Kjeld Henrik Lund Deichmann (Hank), are saddened to announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB, age 80. From Summerville, Kingston Penninsula, NB, husband of Joanne (nee Buckle) Deichmann. He was born on October 15, 1934, at home in Summerville, son of the late Kjeld and Erica (nee Matthiessen) Deichmann.

He was an ardent family man and an enthusiastic Birder.

Hank is survived by his wife, Joanne, of 55 years; his children: Mark (Lena Kristoffersen), Jocelyn (Gouri Bhuyan), Kirsten (Bob Oechsler); his grandchildren: Johan, Reuben, Thor, Skylar, Luna-Marleen, Carl-Viktor, great grandson Eimod; his sisters: Elizabeth Harvor and Anneka Gichuru, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his infant son, his parents, his mother and father-in-law: Frances and Raymond Buckle, brother-in-law Simon Gichuru, nephew Richard Harvor.

Funeral Service, conducted by The Rev. J. Peter Gillies, will be held from the Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston, NB at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 28, 2015, followed by a reception at the Parish Hall. Interment will take place in July 2015.

Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, are entrusted with arrangements. Donations in memory of Hank, may be made to the Bird Studies Canada, Nature Conservancy of Canada, NB Nature Trust Fund, Parkinson Society, Trinity Church (Kingston) or to the charity of one’s choice.
