Passed peacefully away at the Lion's Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, on Friday, February 20, 2015, Matilda O'Rielly (nee Griffiths), of St. Mary's, formerly of Fox Harbour, aged 81 years. Predeceased by husband James, two daughters Rita Knapman (Melvin) and Germaine King (Kenneth), parents John & Elizabeth Griffiths sisters: Rose Murphy, Rebecca Whyte, Elizabeth and Germaine and brothers: Mike (February 15, 2015), Patrick, Eugene and Pius. Leaving to mourn children: Dennis (Wanda), Joan Butler (Kevin), James (Melody), Brian (Karen), Ann Marie LaShane (Roy), Bernard (Linda), John (Sheila), Theresa Culleton (Benedict), Mike (Noleen), Eugene and Karen, 29 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Murphy (Cyril) and Theresa Power (John): brothers: Leo, Jack (Tilly), Val (Ann) and Fergus (Catherine) and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially Mike's wife Beth & family and friends and caregivers at the Lion's Manor. Resting at Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's, on Saturday, February 21, from 7 - 9pm and Sunday, February 22, 2 - 9pm.
