GALLAGHER, EUGENE MAURICE
Eugene M. Gallagher of Marne, NB, husband of the late Joyce A. (McMillan) Gallagher, passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2015 at his residence. Eugene was born at Dorrington Hill, NB in 1935, a son of the late Leroy L. (Roy) and Letha Myrtle (Leaffie) (Johnson) Gallagher.
He is survived by one son, Robert Gallagher (Tammy), Moncton, NB; three grandchildren, Daniel Gallagher, Hannah Gallagher and Nathan Gallagher, all of Moncton, NB; a sister-in-law, Gwen Gallagher; a brother-in-law, Lester Furrow (Sonja); and two nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Maryellen (Steeves) Gallagher; two brothers, Perley and Gerald Gallagher and two sisters, Maxine Furrow and Bernice Ingram.
Eugene was involved in the Anglican Church. He was a member of the NB Bee Keeping Association and a lifelong avid fisherman and hunter.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 12 noon to 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. David Gray officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home dining room. Interment will be later at the Canterbury Cemetery.
