Karl Robert Zeller, age 57, of Pennant, SK passed away February 12, 2015 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Memorial Service was held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Pennant Community Hall, with Reverend Johnathon Hoskin officiating. The organist was Thelma Wallace and a special hymn was provided by the Pennant Hutterite Colony. Life Tributes were presented by Darren Zeller and Les Brazier. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in Karl's life. Karl is survived by his devoted wife, Gertie; step mom Maevis, step-daughters: Kathy Yates, Gaylene (Les) Brazier; step-grandchildren: Lisa (Brian) Willows, Colin (Rachel) Yates, Devan (Angela) Brazier, Tamara Brazier; step-great grandchildren: Nicole, Tenille, Luke, Molly Jo; siblings: Wanda, Ray, Bill, Darren, Dennis, Donna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: his father Robert, mother Marina, his grandparents Darrel and Viola, and step son-in-law, Howard Yates. Karl was born on February 27, 1957 in Swift Current. He attended school in Pennant, Swift Current, and Caronport. Karl enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his garden and living life to the fullest. His biggest pride was meeting and then marrying the love of his life, Gertie Matzick-Slaferek, on July 7, 2002. Karl will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all of his family and friends.
