After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Keith, aged 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at Roseway Hospital, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Although Keith will be missed by family and friends, he is now with his parents, Laurie and Agnes Jacklin, and his sister, Denise Rosemary Jacklyn. Keith is survived by his brother, Colin (Lois) Jacklyn and family of Halifax, and his sister, Geneve (John) Quickfall and family of Yarmouth. Keith was especially close to his niece, Michelle Denise Jacklyn of Toronto and his nephew, Christopher Laurie Jacklyn of Halifax and will be very much missed by them. Keith was a welder by trade and a hard worker. The family would like to thank many people, including Dr. O’Sullivan, the nurses and staff at Roseway Hospital and especially Tanny Jacklin and Hastings Guy for being by Keith’s side; his friends, Gerry, Heather and Rob, Darlene, Ray and Rob and Marta for their continued support. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held in early Spring at Huskilson’s in Shelburne, officiated by the Reverend Lawrence Hartley. Details will be posted in advance. Keith loved his animals so we are asking if you wish to give a donation in his memory, that it be made to Pet Projects, Shelburne.
