It is with great sadness that the family of the late Georgia White (nee Vaters) announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility of Sunday February 22, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Georgia was born in Victoria, Newfoundland, and was the last surviving child of the late George and Eva Vaters. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin White; parents George and Eva (nee Wareham) Vaters; brothers: William (Lena), Maxwell (Doris), Lloyd; sisters: Anne Osmond (Hayward), Amy Butt (Gerald); nieces: Marie Allan, Elizabeth Mullin and sister-in-law Betty. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her nephews: David Maxwell Butt (Maureen), Lloyd Vaters (Helen-deceased); nieces: Joyce Petrone (Ermy-deceased), Maxine Ivory (Richard-deceased), Ann Luscombe, Patricia Simm, Pauline Toth (Merle-deceased), Kay; nephews-in-law: Raymond Allen, Alexander Mullin; brother-in-law Merrille (Mary); sisters-in-law Gladys Batten (Bruce-deceased), Suzanne Martin, Norma Scott, and many other relatives including grand nephews, grand nieces, great grandnephews, great grandnieces and many friends. In keeping with Georgia's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. from where a memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. with Reverend Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made in Georgia's memory to the Shriners. The family wishes to extend a very special thanks you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility and to Gladys Batten, Georgia's sister-in-law for the support and care she has given to Georgia.
