It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Husband, Father and Pop, Darrell Ryan, aged 79 of Clarenville. Predeceased by first wife Shirley (Drover), parents John and Minnie Ryan, brothers Martin, Lloyd and Billy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Cathy (Turner), children Wanda Merrigan Port aux Basques, Cathy Harnett (Paul Pennell) St. John's, Sue Murley (Bob) Halifax, Kim Brushett (Calvin) St. John's, and Jeff Ryan, St. John's; step-daughter Penney Rowe (Paul Curnew) St. John's; grandchildren Jeffrey & Patti Merrigan, Ryan & Matthew Harnett, Jennifer & Jonathan Murley, Andrew, Michael & Amy Brushett, River Barrett & Dylan Callendar; great-grandchildren Sophie Foote, Maria Harnett & Lilah Merrigan; god-children Justin & Jordan Quinton; sister Lillian Adey (Lloyd), brother Robert Ryan (Janette); special niece Tracy Murphy and many extended family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, visitation Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral from Memorial United Church on Thursday, Februay 26th at 2:00 pm. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit Discovery Health Care Foundation at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville.
