Freda MacKinnon (nee Cheverie), age 85 years, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Beach Grove Home.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur MacKinnon and loving mother of Birt (Janice), June McInnis (Wayne), Allan (Ann), Ray (Rosemarie), Brent (Brenda) and Theresa MacKinnon (Steve Burden). Freda will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephen, Jo Ellen, Jared, Vanessa, LeAnne, Kaela, Jillian, Alex, Derek, Spencer, Sarah, Jessica and Brett; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Cody, Braeden, Elizabeth, Chase, MacKela, Ella, Tristan, Amelia, Ellie and Jensen. She is also survived by her sisters, Edie Broderick (John), Winnie Strang, Betty Osborne and Marlene Clinton (Bernard).
She was predeceased by her parents, Warren and Marguerite (nee Grant) Cheverie; brothers - Albin, Herbie, Grant, Charlie and Buddy Cheverie; and sisters - Marguerite MacIsaac, Sylvia LeClair, Millie Cheverie, Jeanette Jones, Julia Gallant and Norma Robichaud.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Thursday, February 26, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, February 27, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later at the Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
