CORMIER, ANTOINE
1923 - 2015
Antoine Cormier, 91 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday February 24, 2015. He was married to the late Thérèse (Allain) Cormier (2006). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Jacques and Virginie (Léger) Cormier.
Antoine is well remembered for the many years that he worked as janitor at the Clement Cormier High School, Bouctouche.
He will be sadly missed by his five children; Marie Bastarache (Antoine), Louiselle Collette (Alvin), Antoinine Richard (Fernand), Donald (Claudette) all of Bouctouche, Maurice (Chantal) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son Guy, six sisters; Rita, Géraldine, Lina, Alfreda, Yvonne, Alice and one brother Cléophas.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 7 to 9 and on Friday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church in Bouctouche on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Antoine’s memory donations may be made to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital Foundation.
