MUISE, Delby Vincent Gerard – age 69, of Yarmouth, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Yarmouth on June 2, 1945, he was a son of the late Simon and Anne (Doucette) Muise. Delby is survived by his brother, Gerard (Marie Lise), Shediac, NB; sister, Freda (George) Robicheau, Lower Sackville. He was predeceased by his brother, Martin. Delby will be fondly remembered as a gentle and kind man. He was a gifted draftsman and creative designer who shared his skills in woodworking ventures with his friend and cousin John Thibeau. Early in his life he worked for Royal Doulton and was a crew member on the Bluenose Ferry. Later he acted as a dedicated caregiver for 15 years for his mother. He enjoyed cooking, the arts, all aspects of computer, video and audio technology. He was a source of inspiration and knowledge for all who were less able and fortunate than him. His kindness also extended to animals when he accepted to shelter Gerry the Cat. His family and friends have greatly appreciated his warm spirit and he will be dearly missed. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilsons Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth where visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, with prayers at 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 28 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Fabian Ihunegbo officiated. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada.
