CARSON, GLEN
1935 – 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Carson on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Hawkshaw, NB son of the late Wardlow and Elva (Kilcollins) Carson.
Glen is survived by his wife of 59 years Joan (Patterson), three daughters; Linda (Lindsay), Cheryl, Betty (William) and one son Mike (Nancy), 11 grandchildren; Kristopher, Graham, Jamie, Mandy, Chase, Michelle, Colton, Jesse, Kate, Melanie, and Travis as well as three great grandchildren; Brooklyn, Ayla and Landon. Glen will also be sadly missed by three brothers; Paul (Ida), Roy (Madeline), Ralph (Marguerite); one sister Hilda (Dalton), and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by three brothers Vaughn (Ellen), Floyd (Cavelle), Donald, and three sister-in-laws Jean, Madeline, and Cavelle.
Glen was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and great grandfather. A well-known, and lifelong fiddler and in recent years he was part of the band “Just Friends”. A civil engineer for CNR before he became an engineering instructor at NBCC. A toastmaster for more than 35 years as well as a dedicated member and trustee of Steeves Memorial United Church. A man of principles with excellent penmanship, and a numbers man (mathematician). He loved: being a prankster, carpentering, gardening, and song writing.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday, February 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room.
Remembrances in Glen's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Steeves Memorial United Church "Memorial Fund" or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
