When life’s fitful fevers ended and my work on earth is o’re. Bear me to the country church yard, nestled by the lakes Bras d’Or. Tell my friends to grieve not for me, for at last I am at rest. Free from earthly pain and trial near the village I loved best.
There my sleep shall be unbroken, where the Skye River streams, and I’ll rest in a peaceful slumber surrounded by the mountains of my dream.
“May her spirit soar over her beloved Whycocomagh from the shorelines to the mountain tops forever more.”
