Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, John 'Jack' Callahan of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 86 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment and a proud veteran of the Korean War. Predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Callahan; two infant siblings: Nellie and Mike; five brothers: Leo, Pat, Bill, Frank and Ned; three sisters: Marie Byrne, Angela Roberts and Veronica Callahan. Leaving to mourn, two sisters: Kathleen Coombs and Gertrude Connolly, both of Harbour Grace; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
