BULMER, LAURA KRISTEN
It is with profound sadness that the family of Laura Kristen Bulmer, of Fredericton N.B., announce her passing, surrounded by her loving family, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers’ Hospital on February 28th, 2015.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, on August 16th, 1986, Laura was a graduate of Moncton High School and then completed her studies in Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick. Laura was employed by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
For many years Laura was an active member and employee at the Fredericton YMCA. Laura enjoyed soccer and participated in the 2003 Canada Winter Games in short track speed skating for Team New Brunswick. She found strength in sharing her journey through an online blog, which had an impact on many.
Laura is survived by her parents, Kevin and Joan Bulmer of Fredericton, NB; her sister, Alison (Kyle Graves) and their children, Molly and Sawyer of Quispamsis, N.B.; her brother, Luke of Fredericton, N.B.; her aunt, Charlene Bulmer (Dave Methot) of Dorchester, N.B.; her uncle, Ted Gray of Toronto, Ontario; grandmothers, Emma Bulmer of Dorchester N.B., Jean Gray of Kemptville, Ontario and Norma Dagenais of Vars, Ontario.
Laura is predeceased by her aunt, Nancy Gray and uncle, Peter Bulmer. She will be sadly missed by her devoted companion, Bentley.
Visitation will take place at McAdam’s Funeral home on Monday, March 2nd, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 from 2 to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held at Wilmot United Church on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Ellen Beairsto and Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin will be officiating.
