Peppard, Bertha Elizabeth (Dean)- 75, Onslow Mountain.

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Bertha, suddenly, on February 27, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro, NS. Born June 19, 1939 in Newton Mills, she was a daughter of the late Haliburton and Agnes Dean (Hamilton), and step-daughter of John Dunlap. She was a generous soul, who would always put the needs of her family and others before her own. She loved country music, and in her younger years she would sing at the local community center. She loved her animals, and working on the family farm. Bertha is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Calvin; sons, Bert, Jim and Roy; sisters, Anna (Len) Martin, Tilly (Bill) Harrison, Shirley (Harold) Stairs, Kathy Downing; brother, George Dunlap; grandchildren, Roselea (Jason Heim) and Matthew (Pam Wilmont); great grandchildren, Scott, Hunter, Morgan, Ryder; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Bertha was predeceased by infant daughter, Rosalie; sisters, Mary and Irene; brothers, Tom, Mark, Jim, Hally, Robert and Andrew in infancy. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, in Truro, with Rev. Glenn MacLean officiating. Spring interment in Belmont Cemetery. Donations gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
