It is with great sadness that the family of the late Glyde Edward Young announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Sunday March 1st 2015 at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend of 51 years Odelle, his two sons Glenn (Cari) in Ontario, Gary in Stephenville, two daughters Karen Young, Charlene Young Felix (Joe) in Stephenville. Also leaving to mourn are his two very special grandchildren Dylan and Jared who brought a tremendous joy to his life, a special brother Robert (Shelia) who we wouldn't have gotten through this difficult time without, Raymond in Barrie Ontario, Roy (Marlene) in Calgary Alberta, his two sisters Gloria Rowe (Terry) in Florida, Edna Carroll in Curling. Special mention also to his brother in law Reginald Perrier and his wife Elizabeth for all their support to Odelle and all the family. He was predeceased by his parents William and Patricia Young, his brother Oswald and his sister Iris Jacobs. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center for their care and compassion shown to our father / husband during his time there. Visitation will take place on Tuesday March 3rd 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Russell's Funeral Home in Stephenville. The funeral will take place from St. Stephen's Parish on Wednesday March 4th 2015 at 10 a.m. with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
