INGERSOLL, DAVID "DAVE" JOHN
The passing of David “Dave” John Ingersoll, husband of Sheila Steever-Ingersoll, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 1, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 20, 1948 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Nelson “John” and Helen (Maxwell) Ingersoll.
Dave worked as the Chief Administration Services Officer of Employment and Immigration of Canada. He retired after 25 years then worked for Cendent. He was a member of the UCT and several golf clubs. David lived in Oak Spring RV Resort in Port Richey Florida during the winter months. He loved to golf and was a volunteer with the PGA Tour. He enjoyed hiking and taking photographs. He was an avid UNB hockey fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Angela Steeves (Jason); his son, Matthew Plaster (Maryann); his grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, Joseph, Maya, Emma, Cole and AJ; his sister, Karen Ingersoll (Warren McPhee) and cousin, Lauren McLaughlin.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2 pm with Father Bill Brennan officiating.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
