John Kenwood "Jack" MacLean

Born October 26, 1934 and passed away March 5, 2015.
Born in New Glasgow, N.S., he was the son of the late Aileen (Langille) and Kenneth MacLean. Jack's early life was spent in Hopewell, entering the Royal Bank of Canada in New Glasgow, September 1951, retiring as manager in Bridgetown, N.S., Oct. 1990, having served in numerous branches throughout N.S. and P.E.I. and a special assignment on the US Airforce Base in Stephenville, NFLD, his first managerial appointment. Over the years, Jack enjoyed many longtime friendships while making many new ones along the way. Golfing, curling, snowmobiling, fishing hunting, card games and Koffee Klub were some of the many past-times he enjoyed.
Survived by his wife Florence (Montgomery) "Monty"; son, Craig (Nancy); daughter, Catherine Ashby; beloved grandchildren, Laura, Vanessa, Bradley, Montgomery, Kayla, James and Michael; adored great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Colin, Lola, William and Benjamin Brian; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, Phyllis Hampton and Edith Caddell; mother-in-law, Orell Montgomery; sister-in-law, Pat MacLean, Christine (Al) Ronands, Patricia Millar, Anne (Perry) Neatby, Lola Montgomery, Martha Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Roy (Dianne), Kenneth (Betty) and Alexander Montgomery.
Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by son, Brian; brother, Irving; father-in-law, Stuart Montgomery; and brother-in-law, Stuart Montgomery. Thanks to AVH Palliative Care Services, VON, and Bridgetown Pharmasave for their caring assistance; Dr. G. Goodine, Dr. L. Burgess, Dr. R. MacFarlane, and Janet Welton for their professional services.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, from 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service being held Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m., both the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, and Cremation Service, Bridgetown with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Reception to follow. Family flowers only.
