1939 – 2015
Désiré Richard, 75, of Notre-Dame passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Dr Georges L Dumont HUC, Moncton on Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was married to Annette (Daigle) Richard. Born in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Tilmon and the late Alvina (Cormier) Richard.
Désiré worked as a Carman for CN for 36 years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Annette, his two children; Carmen Richard (Wade Minaker) of Moncton and Denis (Christine Thériault) of Shediac, three grandchildren; Josée, Janie and Sophie. He also leaves to mourn one sister, Louise Tenière (Claude) of Halifax, four brothers; Louis (Rita) of Notre-Dame, Paul (Huberte), Tilmon of Moncton, Léopold (Blanche) of Rexton and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one sister Irène and one brother Yvon.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame Church on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Désiré’s memory donations may be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the parish of Notre-Dame.
