It is with great sadness that the family of Crystal Lynn Gilroy age 41 of West Amherst announce her passing on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of Edith (Goodwin) Taylor of West Amherst and the late Jack Taylor.
Crystal worked for Ed’s Sub in the Amherst Mall and also for Sobey for 7 years.
Besides her mother, she leaves to mourn her three daughters Danielle Nicole Gilroy of River Hebert, Haley Sabrina Gilroy and Alexis Chantel Gilroy both of West Amherst, her partner and friend Emile Boudreau, brothers Michael Stephen (Susan) Taylor of Debert and Patrick David Taylor of Timberlea, NS, two sisters Trudy Marlene (Rob) Carter of Pugwash and Jackie Rae (Melvin) Carter of Liecester and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Crystal was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Merle Gilroy, her maternal grandparents Ches and Florence Goodwin and paternal grandparents Floyd and Viola Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral service on Wednesday at 2 p.m. both at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Captain Chad Ingram officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Mansfield Cemetery.
