Rose, James Thomas “Tom”- 76, Shelburne, passed away peacefully in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on March 8, 2015. Born in Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Harry and Queena Rose. Tom was a fisherman for most of his working life. He was considered to be a “jack -of-all-trades” and enjoyed working with wood, building cabinets and cupboards. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, the former Beatrice Strowbridge; son, Kirk (Lisa); granddaughter, Megan; brothers, Robert and Jerry; sisters, Sheila (Gordon Cooper); Nancy and Joyce. He was predeceased by brothers, Edward and Eric. As per Tom’s wishes, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association. The family would like to thank the Doctors and nursing staff at Roseway Hospital and the Yarmouth I.C.U for their care of Tom. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Sophia’s Café and staff in Shelburne.
