ALLAIN, ROGER
1939 – 2015
Roger Allain, 75 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Saturday March 7, 2015. He was married to Imelda (Saulnier) Allain. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Alban and the late Hélène (Bastarache) Allain.
Roger was a Boilermaker with Union Local 73.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Imelda, his four children; Joanne Allain (Serge), Ronald (Lisa), Jacques (Isabelle), Charles (Tina) and a special niece, Alice Doucet (Claude) all of Bouctouche, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn five sisters; Elizabeth Hébert (Lionel), Noëlla Nowlan (Léopold), Léa Gallant (Adrien), Gloria Mills all of Bouctouche, Thérèse Léger (Fernand) of Cap-Pelé, three brothers; Emerie, Yvon (Pierrette), Léo-Paul (Janice) and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by two sons; Joseph, Omer and one brother Donald.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday, March 10th, from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 5:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 6:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
In Roger’s memory donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
