SISCOE (SAULNIER), Rose – 102 years, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, formerly of Yarmouth, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born December 7, 1912 in Sluice Point, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Lucy (d’Eon) Saulnier. Prior to retiring, she was a cafeteria worker in Montreal. She loved crocheting and reading. She is survived by her children, Pauline Siscoe, Yvonne Siscoe, Victor (Arlyle) Siscoe, Marie (Evan) (Siscoe) Duranceau and Michael (Vicki) Siscoe, as well as by a sister, Victoire Doucette and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence A. Siscoe, as well as by sisters, Estelle Deveau and Elizabeth Richard, and a brother, Vincent Saulnier. Visitation took place from 2-4 and again from 7-9 Thursday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 13 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Brian MacMillan officiated. Spring interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Cumberland Lodge (PO Box 250 Pugwash, NS, B0K 1L0). Words cannot express our gratitude for the care and attention that was given to Mom during her stay at the East Cumberland Lodge and also to us, her family, during her final days.
