Jeannette MacKenzie

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Palliative Care Unit Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 of Jeannette (Milligan) MacKenzie of O’Leary, aged 82 years, wife of the late Lewis MacKenzie. Born on January 19, 1933 in Milo, daughter of the late Scott and Flora (MacLean) Milligan.
Loving mother to Esther Kelly, New Haven; Trenna (Rick) Adams, Winsloe; Andrew (Pam) MacKenzie, Milo; Sharon Adams (John Landry), St. Paul, N.B.; and Katherine (Peter) Elsinga, New London. Beloved grandmother to Caroline Kelly (Jeffrey Nelson), Andrew (Victoria) Kelly, Joel (Amy) Adams, Matt (Jocelyn) Adams, Jon and Katie Adams, Marcus (Katilyn), Timmy, Hannah and Justin MacKenzie, Michael (Elora), Rachel and David (Andrea) Arbing, Roddy MacLeod and Colin MacKenzie. Also by her great-grandchildren, Shamus Warren, Ella-Jane, Jill and Ben Adams and Jack, Blair, Rachael Kelly, Isla Arbing, Brooke and Lauren Adams and Micah MacKenzie. Jeannette is also survived by sisters-in-law, Frances Milligan, Verna MacKenzie, Olive MacKenzie, Lila Mae MacKenzie, Ethel Gallant, Josie Clements, Margaret MacMillan and Lila Naomi MacKenzie.
Jeannette was predeceased by her parents; husband, Lewis (2011); sons-in-law, Dale Adams and Bert Kelly; infant grandson, Stephen MacKenzie; brothers, Fred (Anna) Milligan, Everett (Hazel) Milligan, Russell (Lila) Milligan and Alfred Milligan.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:30-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1 p.m in the chapel. Interment in Free Church of Scotland Cemetery, Milo in the spring.
