The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, of John Milligan, beloved husband of Vanda Milligan (nee Ervin), of Elmwood and formerly of Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, aged 67.
John was the devoted father of Ross (Tanya Varga), Beth (Colin Newson), Nancy, and Sarah (Daniel Wonnacott); and grandfather of Serena, Haley, Kale, Oliver and Sadie. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Ethel Ervin; brother-in-law, Arthur (Linda); sister-in-law, Valerie Ervin Cusack (Bill Cusack); one nephew; several nieces; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Betty (Thistle) Milligan; father-in-law, Ross Ervin; and his favourite uncle, James Milligan.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Saturday, March 14, 2015, 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Bible Hill Cemetery at a later date.
