W.J. Clayton Stavert
Peacefully, with his daughter, Joyce, and nephew, Donald, by his side, at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 of W.J. Clayton Stavert, formerly of Burlington and Kensington, aged 97 years.
Born in Kelvin Grove on December 22, 1917, son of the late William and Nellie (Andrews) Stavert. Husband of the late N. Jean (Campbell) Stavert. Father of Joyce (Clifford) Dollar, Springvale and Wendell (Freda) Stavert, Orléans, Ontario. Grandfather of Kim Stavert, Orléans, Ontario, Melinda Dollar-Thompson (Chris Thompson), Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Nadine Dollar Beckett (Royce Hickson), Victoria, B.C., Kendra Dollar, Springvale. Great-grandfather to Cameron Thompson, Madison Thompson, Goldie-Lynn Beckett, Dusty Beckett. Brother-in-law to Helen Stavert, Whitby, Ontario, Thelma Campbell, Kensington, and Mary Campbell, Grahams Road. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers, Robert (Gladys) Stavert, Alfred Stavert and Roy (Devona) Stavert; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hilda (Walter) Moase, Edith Campbell, Alma (Wallace) Adams, Borden Campbell, Marjorie (Elmer) Moase and Earle Campbell.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m., followed by funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. (Please note change in day and time of visitation.) Interment later in People’s Cemetery Kensington. Please refrain from wearing scents.
