LeBLANC, WILLIAM "BILL"
1924 - 2015
William “Bill” LeBlanc, 90, of Riverview, passed away on Friday March 13, 2015 at his residence. Born on March 20, 1924 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Josué and Anne (McKinnon) LeBlanc.
Bill served overseas in the Second World War followed by two years of military service before working as a firefighter in the airport radar bases of Scoudouc, NB, Sydney, NS, and St. Margarets, NB.
He is survived by two children: Margaret-Anne Gautreau (Derek) of Moncton and Edward of Riverview; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geneva Gallant (2011); daughter, Susan (2009); grandchildren: Terri-Anne and Troy; sisters and brothers: Nana, Regina, Ben and Paul.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-du-Chêne on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11 am. Interment will be in Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shediac.
In memory of William, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
