It is with great sadness that the family of Abigail "Abbie" MaGee announces her passing on Thursday, March 12th, 2015 at the age of 77. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the wife of the late William "Murray" MaGee.
Abigail leaves behind her children, Wendy Jones (Patrick) of Hoyt, NB, Christina Harper (Kenneth) of Waterville, NB, and Tina Kelly (Wade) of Geary, NB; step-children, Raymond MaGee (Geraldine) of Harts Lake, NB, Margaret MaGee of Winnipeg. MB, Gary MaGee (Dale) of Edmonton, AB, Kenneth MaGee (Gail) of Halifax, NS, David MaGee (Sarah Jane) of Harts Lake, NB, and Tony MaGee of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jacob, Graham, Mark, Abbie, Chantel and Kyle; step-grandchildren, Jason (Tenielle), Matthew (Pam), Shane and Brendon; great-grandchildren, Owen, Chelsea, Kate, Jack and Connor; brothers, Thomas (Janice) and Frank Grant, and Cecil, Ricky and Louis McGrath; sister, Norma Budgell; as well as large extended family.
Abbie worked for many years as an Outpatient Booking Clerk at the Oromocto Public Hospital before her retirement. She was an active member of Widows on the Warpath and made many close and lasting friendships with the people she met there. She also enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Hayley the dog.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 19th at 2:00 pm with The Reverend Canon Walter Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Memorial Cemetery in the spring.
Family flowers only please. For those who wish, donations in Abbie's memory can be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, NB Heart and Stroke Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
