It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rhodina Ling, 91, of New Waterford on March 13, 2015 at New Waterford Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late James and Veronica (MacPherson) Gardiner.
Rhodina retired after 43 years in the pharmacy department of New Waterford Hospital. She was a member of Mount Carmel Parish, currently the Parish Church of St. Leonard. Rhodina truly loved her church and was a devout catholic with a strong faith.
Surviving are sisters, Veronica Rigby, New Waterford, Theresa Moore, Halifax; sister-in-law Ann Gardiner, New Waterford; many nieces and nephews; great friends and wonderful neighbours.
Rhodina was predeceased by her husband, Bernie Ling, brothers James and Malcolm, sisters, Annie, Mary, Eileen, Olive and Martha.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 16 from 6-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass of celebration will take place Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Plummer Avenue, New Waterford. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
