Age 82 years old- Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Center on Friday, March 13, 2015. Leaving behind with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 63 years, Jim Kearney; her sons Andy (Janet) & Jim (Rosalind). Her two loving grandsons, Shawn & Brandon. Her brother Bill Short (Alice). Her niece Mary Margaret and son Elliot. Extended family member Barbara Mercer. Also a long list of nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Nell & Andrew Short. Brothers: Tom, Sam & Nick. Her sons: Pat & Tony. Cremation to take place on Monday, March 16, 2015. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., March 20, 2015 from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer society of NL.
