POIRIER, AUREA
Aurea Poirier, 91, wife of the late Rudolphe Poirier, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Villa du Repos, following a lengthy illness. Born October 30, 1923 in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Azellia (Goguen) Poirier.
She is survived by five children, Ronald (Angela) of Grand Digue, Peter (Susanne) of Germany, Catherine Vasseur (Stephen) of Moncton, Joseph (Juanita) of Hudson’s Hope, BC and Andre (Sally) of Moncton. Loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Carpenter and three sisters, Eveline, Hermaline and Corinne.
The family will receive condolences at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) from where the Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
