LaPORTE, PATRICK "PAT" WILLIAM
It is with tremendous sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick W. LaPorte, of St. Mary’s First Nation on Sunday March 15, 2015 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 18, 1925 a son of the late Andrew and Susan (Paul) LaPorte.
Pat was a career member of the Canadian Armed Forces, member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, as well as a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and more recently the Elite 90’s Group. He was an avid walker to the Coffee Shop “Pat’s Place”.
Survived by a son David Paul; a daughter Linda (Brooks) Verruyt; brother Harry LaPorte (Connie); sisters Christina Collins, Joan LaPorte; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and godchildren.
Predeceased by brothers Arthur Paul, Nicholas Paul, George LaPorte, Marvin LaPorte and Jerry LaPorte; a sister Martina Sappier.
Resting at his late home 107 Maliseet Drive beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM and again all day on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Funeral service will be held Thursday March 19, 2015 from Saint Anthony's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Monte Peters officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials in Pat’s memory may be made to the CNIB.
The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service at the church on Thursday at 11:00 AM. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
