It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Marion Bacon age 75 of Amherst announce her passing on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Gables Lodge, Amherst.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Rene and Pauline (Gauthreau) Gaudet.
Louise had a passion for playing bingo and even when her health failed she enjoyed playing television bingo.
For many years when living in Toronto she worked at home looking after her nephew and other children and boarders. She later worked as a cleaning lady for retired people in Toronto.
Louise leaved to mourn her daughter Darlene (Frank) Manning of Scarborough, ON, one son Peter of Amherst, grandchildren Shauna, Cindy and Mindy, great grandchildren Austin, Haley and Bella, sister Donna Boucher of Toronto and brother Terry (Geraldine) Gaudet of Amherst and nieces and nephews, Chris, Jenny, Sarah, James and Jeff.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased her husband David, one daughter Susan in infancy and one brother Carl.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of the service at 3 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (902-667-9906)
Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
Memorial donations in Louise’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice.
