CHAPMAN, DONA
Dona M. Chapman, 98, of Port Elgin passed away at home on March 16, 2015. Born June 14, 1916 she was the daughter of Harry and Estella (Walton) Ingalls.
Dona, a loving wife and mother, was a Registered Nurse employed by Sackville Memorial Hospital for many years on the Maternity ward.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Harry of Port Elgin, Carol (Lionel) Fillmore of Hamilton, Lynn (Everett) Wells of Collina, Faye and Holly of Port Elgin, her daughter-in-law Joan Chapman of Halifax and her sister Muriel Dunphy of Port Elgin. She also leaves to mourn many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, neices and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Charles (Ted), her son Charles (Ted), her granddaughter Joanne (Fillmore) Nielson, grandsons Ivan and Larry Wells and great-grandson Scott Wells.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home (364-1300). Honoring Dona's wishes, there is to be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from the Trinity United Church, Port Elgin, Monday, March 23, 2015 at 3 pm. Wayne Jarvis DLM presiding.
