AMIRAULT, Charles Roger – age 62, North Chegoggin, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 28, 1953 in Amirault’s Hill, he was a son of the late Herman and Charlotte (Muise) Amirault. Charles worked as a welder during the construction of the Yarmouth Hospital addition, as well as with the Rio Algom tin mine, Skipper Welding in West Pubnico, Wedgeport Boatbuilders, and most recently worked in Wainwright, Alberta. He loved sports and especially enjoyed playing and watching hockey. Charles is survived by his common-law partner, Donna Makes, as well as by his two sons, Shawn, Vietnam and Scott, Dartmouth. He is also survived by brothers, Bernard, Scarborough, Ont.; Donald (Dora), Lower Eel Brook; Dennis (Donna), Sand Beach; sisters, Marie (Darrell) Robichaud, Fredericton, NB; Miriam (Don) Doucette, Burlington, Ont; Rosalind (Sheldon) Moulaison, Lower Argyle; Beatrice Amirault, Halifax, as well as by his former wife, Jean Amirault and his best friends, Kenny Muise and Louis Deveau. Visitation took place on Monday, March 16 from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral which was held at 7:00 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Father Patrick O’Meara officiated. Interment took place in Holy Family Cemetery, Amirault’s Hill.
