Passed in: Dominion
Passed on: March 17th, 2015

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Clarence S. Lewis of Dominion on March 17, 2015.
Born in Glace Bay on Dec. 15, 1920, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lewis.
Clarence worked for 44 years with Nova Scotia Power and Devco before retiring. Always active, he enjoyed travelling, dancing and skating. Upon his retirement he became an avid golfer. Clarence spent countless early mornings walking the 18 holes of the Lingan Golf Course all year long, and in fun we referred to him as the winter groundskeeper.
Clarence is survived and will be missed by his stepson, Billy Barrett, and daughter-in-law, Tanya Brann-Barrett. Poppy, as they lovingly called him, was Robert and Nicholas Barrett’s cherished grandfather and they carry with them his wonderful stories and life lessons. He will also be deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Frankie Pickup and sister-in-law, Priscilla MacDougall, his dearest friends, as well as their children and grandchildren.
Clarence was predeceased by his first wife, Irene (Palmer), his second wife, Catherine ‘Mikki’ Barrett and brothers, Arthur and Donald (in infancy).
Upon his request cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. A private family service will take place at a later date.
Thank you Poppy. We will love you for always.
