Alverie Dupuis

DUPUIS, ALVÉRIE J.
Alvérie Dupuis, 97, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Foyer St-Thomas in Memramcook following a brief illness. He resided in Memramcook but formerly of Churchill Street, Moncton. Born October 19, 1917 in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Willie and Bella (LeBlanc) Dupuis.
Alvérie was a veteran of W.W. 2 and retired from CN. He was also a past member of the CN Pensioners Club, Parkton Golden Age Club, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6468, and past volunteer Dumont Hospital and Moncton Food Bank.
He is survived by his four children: Roger (Annette) Memramcook, Lionel and Roberta Savoie (Léo-Paul) of Moncton, and Jean (Monique) of Dieppe; eight grandchildren: Daniel, Sean, Charline, Chantal, Venessa, Renelle, Sébastien, and Jean-Luc; three great-grandchildren: Kane, Laurel, and Elsa; a brother, Ronald (Carmélice) of Memramcook; two sisters: Délia Dupuis of Memramcook and Doris Gaudet of Dieppe; many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Aline née Hébert; six sisters: Élizabeth, Osithe, Léona, Dorine, Lorraine, and Marie; four brothers: Rodolphe, Alyre, William, and Willie.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm; Friday from 10 am until departure (10:45). Veterans will hold a service of remembrance at 3:50 pm Thursday at the funeral centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at N-D-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain, Moncton, Friday March 20 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
