William Keleher

KELEHER, WILLIAM E.
The family of William E. Keleher (Bill) of the Turnbull Nursing Home and formerly of Woodman’s Point wish to announce his passing, which occurred on March 17th, 2015. William was born in Saint John on December 6th, 1926 to the late James and Ellen (O’Leary) Keleher.
Besides his parents, Dad was predeceased by his siblings Francis, Patrick, Marjorie, Geraldine, and Ita, and their spouses.
Dad is survived by his wife Twyla (Wallace) and their children; Patrick of Fredericton, Ann Armstrong (Joe) of Rothesay, Thomas (Sophia Guitard) of Saint John, Michael of Calgary, Daniel of Woodman’s Point, and David of Rothesay. Dad also leaves behind Dr. Anna-Marie Mackinnon, to whom he was especially thankful for her special friendship and the gift of his granddaughter. Dad is also survived and will be watching over his beloved grandchildren; Paul Armstrong, Olivia Keleher, as well as John and Michael Keleher, and many nieces and nephews. Dad leaves behind his extended family at the Turnbull Nursing Home: their kindness, love and support filled Dad’s days with many happy memories.
Dad touched many lives during his teaching; four years in Bathurst, and 37 years at the former Saint John Vocational School (now Harbourview). He will be remembered for his passion for sports, his singing, and his love of the outdoors.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider a donation in Dad’s name to the Turnbull Nursing Home Foundation, or Romero House.
