MacPherson, Bernard Leslie, 64 of College Road, Truro passed away March 17, 2015 at home
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of Eileen(Mahar)White, New Glasgow and the late Dugald MacPherson.
Bernard was a resident of Truro for the past 15 years where he was an employee of Scotsburn Dairy for over 30 years.
In his past time he enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching car races, going to the casino, as well, he was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed playing the organ, having played in the local band “Country Rock” for a number of years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and nephews.
Surviving besides his mother Eileen, New Glasgow are his sisters Doris Stewart(Gary), New Glasgow; Kathy White(John), Granton; and Marlene MacPherson(Delaney), Abercrombie; 2 nephews, Michael Stewart(Tracey), Scott Stewart(Chasity), a niece Lisa O’Neill(Brad), 4 great-nephews Josh, Jarrett, Kieran and Parker, a great-niece Kelsey.
H was predeceased by his father Dugald MacPherson.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral services will be held 11am Saturday with Father Donald Boudreau presiding. Burial will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Bernard may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
