It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Young announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on March 19, 2015 at the age of 91 years. He will be sadly missed by his partner Johanna Russell; his son Rod Young (Debbie) of NS; Joan McIsaac of Doyles; his two brothers, Robert Benoit of Black Duck and Ray Benoit of Red Brook, his sister Marine Jesso of Lower Cove along with his grandchildren: Bruce Young; Suzanne Wasson; Alice English (John) of Doyles; Valarie Battiste (Dennis) of Doyles; Nichole Bourne (Charles) of Manitoba; Norman McIsaac (Christa) of Doyles; Gordon McIsaac (Sarah) of Stephenville Crossing; Tom McIsaac (Tonya) of Doyles, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Muriel Young (Jesso) of Port au Port, his brother Alex and his sisters Maude Young and Cecilia Dennis. His mother Anne Bride Benoit (Young) and step father John Eugene Benoit. The family will be receiving friends at Russell's Funeral Home 57 Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville on Sunday March 22nd, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday March 23rd at 10 am from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
