Frederick Earl Doiron

1949-2015
Very saddened to announce the sudden passing of Fred Doiron of Mayfield, aged 66, on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
Fred was the beloved husband of Marina (nee Peters) and loving father of Vanessa Wakim (Walid), Colette Blunston (Chad), Lori Jones (Les, deceased) and Carla Doiron, and proud Grampa of Caden, Rylan and Reichen Wakim, Quin and MacKenzie Blunston, Charlea and Morgan Jones. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Ron (Inez), Lorna Gaudin (Urbain), Wayne (Diane), Pauline Cox (John), Carol Anne Evans (Don), Irene MacLean (Ron), John (Helen) and Ricky (Tracy). He was adored by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Aubin and Bertha Doiron; brother, Allison; and sister, Marilyn, in infancy; and father and mother-in-law, Alban and Estelle Peters.
Fred earned his mechanics and welding licenses at PVI and went on to use these trades for 25 years in Charlottetown. He then ran an Irving Service station in North Rustico for 12 years. Following this he assisted his wife at their bakery in Hunter River for 10 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, digging clams, going eeling, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from using scented products.
