Born on May 8, 1932. Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Hannah "Florence" Hodder (nee Peddle), age 82. Predeceased by her parents: Frank and Ethel Peddle (nee Chafe); brothers: Frank, George (Donna) and Herb; son: George (March 2014); mother and father-in-law: Tom and Lillian Hodder; sisters and brothers-in-law: John Hodder, Elva Murrin and Mary Jackson (Jerry). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband: Harry and their children: Linda Collins (Robert), Harry (Ann) (Edmonton, AB), John, Tina Ricketts (Rick), Judy (Edmonton, AB) and Bobby (Mandy); grandchildren: Glen Collins (Georgina - Michael, Stephen & Stephanie), Nicole Collins, Allan Ricketts (Shawna), Patrick and Colin Hodder, Landon and Chloe Hodder, her siblings: Bill (Joyce - deceased) (Vermont, US), Bob (Martha) (Ontario), Gordon (Sheila) (Toronto, ON), Ethel Langmead (Harry - deceased), Mary Stone (Stan - deceased) (Barrie, ON), sister-in-law: Gloria (Ontario), special cousins: Dorothy Helm, Len Newhook and Mary Anna White. The Hodder family: Francis Crews (Max), Violet Crane (Fred), Blanch Barrett (Eldred - deceased, Francis - deceased), Tom (Linda), Lillian Duke (Wally), and sister-in-law Joan Hodder. Plus numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers of The Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, especially those at Pratt Place who helped create a pleasant and caring home for our mom over the last number of years. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 and Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 11:00am. Cremation to follow with burial to take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of NL Inc. or The Agnes Pratt Nursing Home Foundation.
